Back to Colour (week one)

Today we got back into the swing of things with a look back at colour theory and in particular how to mix complementary colours to create a wealth of natural coloured greys. These exercises are great for training the eye to judge colour mixing, to be able to deconstruct a colour just by looking at it, to learn finer motor skills required for that extra light touch needed for the more subtle coloured greys. And we reinforce our understanding of the basic colour theory constructs. Here are our exercises from today, even the humble colour wheel can have its own character in the hands of our artists!
