Week 7. Main paste project

Work is progressing strongly now. Great depth of colour and tone appearing. Wonderful to see the continued exploration and self-challenge in the group.  Everyone - look more often at your colour wheel and think about your personal colours from last term. Like we have studied in class, think more carefully about the colour you are looking at e.g. what kind of blue is it? What second or third colours can you see in that blue?

Ann: looking so much stronger.

Brian: triptych looking very striking. Third panel just needs developing as discussed.
Christine: Terrific luminosity.
David: It's getting much stronger as you add more depth of pastel.
Faith: much better when you add more density of pastel.
Faith: great to see you exploring along a theme.
Janice: exciting colours and beautiful shapes - now that's what I call jazz!
Karen: very promising! Block out the white before developing the layers.
Len: this is terrific! Something about pens that really brings out your strengths.
Linda: depth of colour is wonderful. Keep "Klimt-ing!"
Maggie: fabulous appreciation of shape and texture. Finish the trees in the same way.
Margaret: much better. He looks properly bedraggled now!
Margaret: this is turning into such a strong painting.
Moira: this is going to be stunning. Follow the strength of colour in your photo.
Val: such a complex painting and you are doing it really well.
