Frida Kahlo Show, V&A London - well worth a visit
What this exhibition at the V&A does, amongst other things and despite the criticism against it, is to understand that the artist and her art were inseparable, they were deliberately and tightly interwoven. "You only know what she wanted to show: what pain looks like, what Mexico looks like, what gender looks like; what love looks like."
Click the self portrait image above to read the BBC Arts review for more information - its very short and also an interesting perspective on art and on women in art.
