Portrait Project
We are now getting our teeth well and truly into this one! Below are the remarkable results so far. Remarkable because some of us have never attempted a portrait before, some of us have never used pastel before(!), and for all of us this is one of those subjects that usually we avoid. Remarkable also because in every painting so far there are elements of outstanding observation and the capturing of a spirit rather than a photo-like reality. Pictures show full painting followed by a detail.
