A fabulous range of paintings and details form the class, done since last week. The colour palette is very strong across all the work and there is a real a strength in each composition. Next week we start our major project for this term: a mixed media roof top scene project.
This blog is a virtual learning environment to support learners and tutors' practice/course content development. It is also to encourage learners and tutors to discuss, share and grow their artistic interest and skill. All work is copyright of the artists.

We are back!
The new pastel painting course at LYndhurst Centre, Gateshead is now back and running. Everyone from last time has come back apart from two to whom we send our best wishes for speedy recoveries - we hope to see you both in the summer term.

We then moved on to our first new project - how to use tinted highlights in a still-life. This was done at home. Our latest project is how to use a dry ground to block in our designs and focus on our palette.
