New Pastel course up and running!
Today we started our latest class of pastel painting. We welcomed 5 new faces to the group: Ann, Christine, Dawn, Leonard, and Sue. Returning for another spell we have Anne, Bob, Frank, Janice, June, Mary, Moira, Peter, and Rose.
Here are most of the first week's images created by the group. Shown below is a full image followed by a detail. New learners familiarised themselves with the medium and with pastel being so intuitive even "exercises" produce stunning effects. Returning learners tried their hands at block style landscapes. Note: the sample block style painting is in the pages section on the right "Block Style Image". As is usual with the group there is healthy variety and individualism showing their confidence to tackle new approaches.
