Beautiful rendition of the Monet style. Pastels are so perfect for what he was trying to accomplish--rendering the light and color as he saw it in it's immediacy. Too bad pastels were still considered--in Monet's day--a second class medium. Oils cannot compete with the immediacy and vibrancy, the saturation, of pastels. Good job, and thank you for sharing your art.
