Week 10 - our final class of term!

Yes it was our final class of the term today. Always a mixed day. With sadness at having to stop and happiness at what we have all achieved and the new things we have explored together. Here are today's paintings in our "Create a Scene" narrative genre project. Some are finished some are in progress. A typically rich mix of subject, technique, style and palette. We are already planning what to do when we return on 3 October in our new home - Bensham Grove Community Centre. Enjoy the summer everyone!

Moira (solitude, contemplation)
Christine (meeting of strangers)
Anne (metamorphosis)
Len (thriller noir)
Peter (old and new worlds)

Week 8: Creating a Scene

This week we started our final project of term: Creating a Scene. Today we brought all our ideas together and explored as a team how we could develop a narrative from the elements we had gathered. By sharing we were all able to help one another at this early stage. Each narrative is going to be an interestingly personalised story by each one in the group. An exciting adventure into the creative foothills of narrative art has begun!

Christine - colour study no.1

Len - colour study no.1

Moira - textured ground project (completed)

Peter - main painting underway!

Bob - laying the first ground

Anne - textured ground project (nearing completion)
