Main projects developing very nicely
We have two weeks left to complete (or take as far as we can) our final project paintings. The results are looking very interesting. Here are some of those in progress plus some other paintings either near to completion or new projects.

Main Project: week two, progressing well
We continued developing our plans and research for our main project: a roof top scene with texture studies embedded into a semi-abstract design. Here is the work in progress.

Mixed Media Project Studies Wk1
We started our main project today. We reviewed our initial research findings and ideas. Then we discussed how we should progress, step by step. Some decided to look at design doing drawing thumbnails, others created colour studies of some of the materials they had gathered as part of the research phase to explore texture and surface qualities. Here are some of the initial steps from todays class and homework studies, (with apologies to those whose studies are not here - we will upload those next week):
