Resource File No.1: glossary of art terms
Click on image here to see a file I created for this type of art course. It is a glossary of most of the common and useful terms art students will come across over the years and explains simply what the terms mean.
Terms include art techniques, materials, genres, art movements and so on. I created it for a previous course but it is useful to anyone studying or interested in art practice and art history.
Comments for improving or enlarging the document will be welcomed.

Welcome!
This is the first posting on the new blog for the Lyndehurst Centre, Gateshead Council, Pastel Painting group. It has been created by the course tutor, Bernard (me!). There will be resources, handouts, useful website addresses and hopefully artwork and comments from learners on the course.
Watch out for more posts.
Pictured here is one of my "cats" done in pastel and pencil.
